The Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) cordially invites you on Friday 08/11/2013 to the Conservatoire Royal to discover or rediscover two major works of the romantic movement, works by Hector Berlioz.
- "Harold in Italy” a four part concertant symphony with viola. Picture postcard Italy was Berlioz’s inspiration, perfectly romantic Italy….
- “Fantastic Symphony” which is much more than a progression of romanticism. The music also expresses beauty, elegance, nature, the powers of the underground world of hell. The composition is revolutionary. The orchestration is removed from anything done before.
