In its more intimate orchestre de salon format, the BPO will take you on a fascinating journey through the lighter side of the music of Austria - and more specifically Vienna - from Schubert and Mozart to Johann Strauss, and from concert overture to Viennese waltz.  The programme includes a number of famous pieces, such as Lehar’s Merry Widow, von Suppe’s Light Cavalry Overture and Strauss’s Blue Danube, as well as some lesser known but equally entertaining ones.
