Founded in 1979, the Brussels Choral Society is the largest amateur symphonic choir in Belgium. The choir, completely international, is made up of more than 120 members, representing more than 20 nationalities. BCS singers are from many different walks of life and share their passion for choral music. The singers are from very varied professional backgrounds and many of them are associated with European institutions and international organisations.
The Brussels Choral Society performs according to professional criteria alongside soloist and orchestras of international renowned. Their repertoire covers all eras, from high baroque to lesser known works by contemporary composers (and everything between the two). The choir takes it work very seriously but also aims to enjoy itself and encourages friendships between its members.
The BCS is a modern and evolving choir supported by long-standing tradition, a combination which assures many more years of high level choral music.
